C NEZZ - Benjamins
C Nezz - Benjamins was one of my first professional music videos. This video took very little to a lot of work to produce. You might ask, did he just say very little? to a lot of work? The video itself we decided to do it on a boring day and a friend had asked if we could do a video for him. So we had decided that we could do it that day if we paid us. Paying us a good sum, we went out and chose a spot within the first few minutes. Bringing nothing but a tripod and 5d MKIII the video was shot in an hour and left for editing.
The artist was himself was so excited to see it that he had come over during editing, which is one thing I myself have always hated. Looking at it he loved it, which gave us a confidence boost in which we would go on to finish this music video in a whole new style than what we had done before.

Constantly Staying Busy.
An artist is his/her own critic, meaning that you will judge your own work harder than anyone else. I myself conduct a lot of work and always find myself criticizing it the most while everyone else loves it. One of my more recent pieces of work was this little mini film I had done with my business partner William Gonzalez. It consisted of just an older modern look of a tourist walking down the street towards an alleyway where the fight scene takes place. In this scene I wanted to show gruesome striking as well as a very gruesome but unique piece of work. Like every other short I do in my spare time, I like to just go out to locations I know of or new areas I have been dieing to shoot in and just simply come up with an idea and shoot. This one being one of those that we had rushed and had done in a last minute shoot after all other ideas failed. We always learn from our shoots especially this one and continually get better at having to come up with something last minute.

Raqfilms The Beginning
During my time as an Artist and as a person in general evolving RAQFilms from it just being the initials of my name to something people recognize I had the time to evaluate a lot of things and projects. Projects including events, Films, Commercials, Music Videos, etc... Through that experience I had the chance to really establish what I want in this career field. Where I began to get my inspiration from was from the Vegas Night Clubs and the Night life Scene, I was always fascinated by it even though its not exactly what everyone expects. I started out with the Rave scene in which I had met my business partner and he had introduced me into this life style. He showed me the safest and realest way to evolve as a Camera Operator. He guided me as I was young and helped me grow as an individual. The life helped me experiment with cameras and learn them to the fullest under low light environments. Truly in the end my foundation came of RAQFilms was from the contribution of my colleague and the night life I was exposed to in Vegas.

Through my time, I've found myself taking on more work than I can handle. Not necessarily speaking that I did too much but couldn't get it done. I've done enough and could actually get it done. Although not perfect my partner Willy Gee and myself created a modern western short. This short depicted two bad guys who seem to have robbed a bank and are now running away. Encountering some trouble, the undertaker comes to stop them. Without a background story, its left for the viewers interpretation.
William Gonzalez staring as the last bandit alive stands in front of the undertake face to face in a shoot off. Both firing and hitting each other are left to die on the dirt path they shot off. With an unexpected shift in events the other bandit never had died previously to being shot in the beginning. Leaving one bandit with an easy way out and the other dead and betrayed. This betrayal would end up sealing the fate of the event.

The Willy Gee Story
Through my experience as a professional and as a student, I created RAQFilms my personal studio that I dream of nothing but becoming a major studio. In a previous post I talked briefly about RAQFilms, but nothing about the work. One of my Major Pieces of work that I have created was a music video I named The Willy Gee Story.
It was a production like several of my videos where I came across a lot of problems on ideas for a video. I experienced a little bit of a writer's block and it was decided I wasn't going to do the video in the first place. But after a lot of thinking we ended up doing the video with just a camera, a monopod, and an actor. Just like several of my videos I am always required to shoot on the spot with no plan. So knowing what I knew about the Vegas area I needed to come up with a story and location. With the song already recorded in a draft version and less than 2 days on its due date. My actor and friend William Gonzalez and I drove off to Fremont and went on an adventure finding a spot before the sun had set. And... Let's just say this is one that you must watch. Enjoy!

RAQFilms
Set through a lot of series of titles and commotions on a title. Raqfilms is a project I have been creating since the beginning of my college career. Through this project of RAQfilms, I strive to put out a portfolio site for the work people are dying to see. RAQFilms is my personal studio I have been dying to create with a friend in which it Showcases my prized work as a cinematographer and Director Photography. At the end of the project the one goal I would like to achieve would be to just achieve a reputable website that I could use to show professional clients as well as gain opportunities through. RAQfilms has been a dream of mine that I have not been able to get motivated enough yet to do. But has been in the makings for a while as I gain more reputable work to put onto it and brand it as my brand.
The Suicide Squad
The Suicide Squad one of the more recent topics that has surfaced the mainstream newsfeed. This film definitely changing a lot for the viewers of the DC fan base. The Suicide Squad recently had a trailer released of its first looks and by far it looks amazing. The reason the hype went through the roof was mainly because of one character, the Joker. Heath Ledger the former joker who had past at an early age really had set a marker for the Joker franchise and left no room for failure while doing it. People questioned if it could be redone because of how high the marker being set. Well from this trailer people were not disappointed with the introduction to the new era Joker and Harley Quinn. By far a trailer that sends goose bump all over my body.
